Best African Braiding Salon in Dubai: Honest Guide & Prices
Why Qasr Alshar Is Considered the Best African Braiding Salon in Dubai
If you’re searching for the best African braiding salon in Dubai, you’re not alone—a quick search for “african hair salon near me” brings up dozens of options, but very few with true textured-hair expertise. At Qasr Alshar Salon, our senior crown artists have years of experience working with every curl pattern and density, from ultra-fine coils to thick, natural Afro hair. Protective styles like Knotless Braids (AED 263, VAT included) or Boho Braids with human hair (AED 368) aren’t just about beauty—they’re about healthy hair for Dubai’s climate.
We start every braiding appointment with a scalp and strand assessment. This lets us choose the right tension, parting, and technique so your style looks elegant and lasts without breakage. Our artists specialize in styles that minimize scalp stress—think gently fed-in cornrows or knotless techniques that feel comfortable from day one. We also use top-tier products like Mielle Organics and Aunt Jackie’s for prep, and we always finish with a moisture-locking oil blend.

Aftercare and Keeping Your Braids Healthy
Our team will show you how to wrap at night, refresh your scalp, and safely remove your braids at the right time to avoid shedding. We don’t recommend leaving braids longer than 8 weeks—even the best technique can’t outsmart hair’s natural growth cycle. If you have any scalp sensitivity or previous concerns, let us know during your booking—we’ll tailor the service and aftercare advice for you.
